How much does a slice of bread weigh?

A standard slice cut from a packaged sandwich loaf weighs about 32 grams. Thin-sliced bread runs lighter, and thick-cut styles sold as Texas toast run close to half again as much.

You do not have to guess this one. Packaged loaves are sold by total weight and cut into a fixed number of slices, so the slice weight is the loaf weight divided by the count on the bag: an 800-gram loaf cut into 25 slices gives 32 grams a slice, and a 680-gram loaf cut into 20 gives 34. Check your own bag and you will have an exact figure rather than an average. The two end slices, cut from the rounded heel of the loaf, carry less crumb than a slice from the middle and come in a few grams lighter.
